Requests More Renovations, Befitting Bus For Bar Activities

The Chairman Nigerian Bar Association Offa Branch, Prince Dr. Bashir Leke Ijaiya has appreciated the Executive Governor of Kwara State, Mallam Abdulrasaq Abdulrahaman for the exclusive renovation of High Court in Offa Local Government.

Dr. Ijaiya made the remarks during the 2024 legal year of the kwara state judiciary held at the state court judiciary headquarters, Ilorin.

He noted that the renovation is the first to be carried out since the construction of the building in the 80s. He commended the remarkable contributions of the Chief Judge of Kwara State and the Chief Registrar of the Kwara State Judiciary towards the facelift of the court building.

Furthermore, he seeks more developmental projects to improve delivery of services in the judiciary set up not only in Offa but throughout the State.

According to him, “The Nigerian Bar Association, Offa Branch is thankful to the Governor and the Chief Judge of Kwara State, while looking forward to extending your vision and magnanimity on developmental projects to other needs/welfare of the judiciary staff, there is the need to complete the renovations which include the completion of the perimeter fence, landscaping and by extension renovations of other Courts in the same enclave.”

“I also seek to remind your excellency that year in year out at this kind of forum, I have requested that you gift both Ilorin and Offa bar-befitting buses to carry out our bar activities. I thank you most sincerely because I am certain that you have heard our requests, and we look forward to receiving the buses soonest” he added.
