MOK Foundation Takes Relief Grants To Fedpoffa, Disburses N10,000 Each To 40 Lower Cadre-Staff

The Muhydeen Okunlola Kayode Foundation has empowered over 40 staff members of the Poly Consult who belong to the lower cadre of the Federal Polytechnic Offa, Kwara state.

The MOK Foundation team led by Mr Moshood Tewogbola and Nurudeen Mohammad presented the cash grants to beneficiaries yesterday at the ICE unit of the institution and assured them of continuous support as they fall within the target group of the foundation. They included the cleaners, security personnel, drivers, office assistants among others who are under Poly Consult as contract staff.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Moshood Tewogbola said “today we brought glad tidings from MOK foundation as we have come here to empower your staff members who are within our target group. This we have previously done at Lens Polytechnic Offa under the institution-based empowerment initiative of our foundation while for the community-based empowerment, over 2000 persons have benefitted across Offa and Oyun local government areas”.

Mr. Tewogbola rolled out other key areas such as Education, Agriculture, Health, Security, Youth and sports development which the foundation has made remarkable impacts.

He urged the beneficiaries to make judicious use of the funds as explained by the team to be able to accommodate other batches as practiced by the community based.

In his words, the Rector of the Federal Polytechnic Offa, Dr Kamoru Kadiri who was full of appreciation for the laudable intervention by the MOK foundation which he described as a partner in progress, a friend of the institution and the community at large.

The Rector said, “in a time marked by economic hardship, the generosity exhibited by the MOK Foundation is truly commendable. We are immensely grateful for their timely intervention, which emphasizes the importance of giving back to the society and as Oliver Twist we appeal for more developmental projects in the polytechnic from MOK Foundation and other influential stakeholders, particularly Offa indigenes”.

Present at the event were the Deputy Rector Admin. Dr Salman Isiaq, Deputy Rector Academics Dr. (Mrs.) Mulikat Aliyu, the Chairman of the Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Polytechnics (SSANIP) FEDPOFFA Chapter, Comrade Oyinlola Abdulmajeed, Director Poly Consult Dr. Ibikunle Muibi who equally commended the MOK foundation’s hands of goodwill.

The beneficiaries represented by Malam Abduwaheed Olatunji and Mrs Akano Victoria lauded MOK foundation for counting them worthy of the grants and beseech d God’s blessings upon the founder QS Muhydeen Okunlola Kayode and Foundation as a whole.
