Ibolo Peace Parley Mourns Elemona, Describes Death As Great Loss

The Ibolo Peace Parley has mourned the death of Elemona of Ilemona, Oba Yusuf Omokanye Oyekanmi and described his death as a great loss.

The release reads:

“The Ibolo Peace Parley received the news of the demise of our revered royal father, the Elemona of Ilemona His Royal Highness Oba Yusuf Omokanye Oyekanmi with utmost sadness.

“The call into eternal glory of His Royal Highness is, to Ibolo Peace Parley, a great loss of a pillar of strength, wise counsel and irreplaceable honesty and commitment to communal peace and progress.

“IPP recalls the warm embrace of Late Oba Yusuf Oyekanmi of the idea of having a forum among Ibolo people to always work for peace and prevent conflicts and ensure development.

“Oba Oyekanmi actually hosted IPP and provided useful information and suggested ways out of some identified sources of conflicts among Ibolo people. He has never failed to lend support to worthy causes among Ibolo communities.

“IPP, while deeply saddened by the death of Kabiyesi Oyekanmi, takes solace in the fact that this is the will of Allah. We are also happy that Late Kabiyesi served his people in Ilemona, in Ibolo land and the whole humanity diligently and meritoriously and we are confident he will be rewarded with Aljannah Fridaus by Almighty Allah.

“We extend our heartfelt condolences to the family of the late Oba, the people of Ilemona, Ibolo Kingdom, Kwara State and Nigeria on the death of our revered royal father.

“Our heartfelt sympathies are with all of our people on the painful loss of Kabiyesi.

“We pray Allah grant Kabiyesi eternal peaceful rest and grant all of us the fortitude to bear this loss. Amin.”
