Offa LG Receives Palliatives From State Govt, Commences Immediate Distribution To Beneficiaries
Offa Local Government Council has commenced immediate distribution of food palliative received from the State Government on Sunday 2nd of June 2024.
The palliative which was monitored by the SA to the Kwara Governor on community development, Hon. Lawal Olohungbebe, Offa Local Government Director of Personnel Management, Mr. Abdullah Haruna and Chairman of Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees, Mr. Abdulwaheed Toyin is in alignment with President Tinubu’s Zero Hunger Agenda to alleviate food insecurity in the country.
The beneficiaries of the food relief items include all the twelve (12) wards in Offa LG, religious institutions, Government boarding schools, community leaders and people living with disabilities.
The food relief items distributed include Maize, Millet, and Sorghum.
The initiative by the Federal Government further complements the effort of the State Government in supporting its citizens and tackling food insecurity.
