Agent of Peace: Eluku Omo Adugbo Interferes In FEDPOFFA Part-time Graduates’ Crisis On NYSC, Meets Polytechnic Mgt.
In a true demonstration of leadership and crisis management, Hon. Comr. Salahudeen A. Lukman, known as Eluku Omo Adugbo, intervened today in the ongoing predicament faced by part-time graduates of the Federal Polytechnic Offa regarding their NYSC mobilization.
Comr. Lukman, who stopped by to address the protesting students in front of Offa Club earlier in the day, assured them of his commitment after making immediate calls to the Office of the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Student Engagement, JAMB Headquarters Abuja, and the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Headquarters in Abuja. His swift actions and persuasive assurances secured the trust of the students, allowing him to act as a mediator between them and the management of the Federal Polytechnic Offa.
With the cooperation of the Divisional Police Officer of Offa and operatives from the Department of State Services (DSS) Offa area office, Comr. Lukman successfully brokered a resolution meeting between the protesting students and the Polytechnic’s management. The meeting was attended by the Rector, Deputy Rector (Academic), Deputy Rector (Admin), the Admission Officer, the Chief Security Officer, and security agents from the Nigeria Police Force and DSS Offa area office.
The meeting was fruitful, as both parties reached a mutual understanding. Hon. Eluku pledged his continued support to both the Polytechnic management and the students, vowing to follow up on the case in Abuja to ensure that the students are mobilized for NYSC as they rightly deserve.
He also expressed his appreciation to the Rector and the entire management for their dedication to the welfare of Nigerian students at the Polytechnic.
