Drama As Kwara APC Ex-PRO, Folaranmi Aro Rejects Suspension, Tags It Ilegal, misplaced priority
The former Publicity Secretary of Kwara State All Progressives Congress, Alhaji Tajudeen Folaranmi Aro has reacted to his recent suspension from APC over anti party allegations.
The APC chieftain through a release issued by his media team rejected the suspension and tagged it illegal.
As contained in the press release, it reads:
“The recent suspension of Alhaji Tajudeen Folaranmi Aro, former publicity secretary of Kwara APC, by the Ojomu North North West Exco is a stark reminder of the party’s misplaced priorities and blatant disregard for fair hearing and the rule of law.
“This suspension is as illegal as the formation of the party itself, making it a kangaroo suspension that showcases extreme ignorance on the part of those sponsored Excos.
“Firstly, the suspension reflects a total lack of fair hearing, as no committee was set up to invite and read the offence to Alhaji Aro, nor was he given an avenue to defend himself.
“This is a fundamental principle of natural justice, which has been grossly violated in this case.
“Furthermore, the misplacement of priority by the ward Exco is appalling.
“Instead of channeling their energy towards making Offa APC a properly constituted party, they are busy engaging in unnecessary illegal suspensions.
“The party is at risk of losing its right to present any candidate for election due to a total disregard for the rule of law.
“It is high time for the party to get its priorities right and channel its energy towards the proper constitution of the party.
“This includes removing the kangaroo local Exco that are not recognized by INEC and replacing them with INEC-certified Exco to protect the legalities of the party’s affairs.
“We reject this illegal suspension and call on the party to focus on its constitution and legality.
“It is time to stop being used illegally as a dog and prioritize the proper functioning of the party.”
