Offa, Kwara State – Junior Chamber International Nigeria Federal Polytechnic Offa (JCIN FEDPOFFA) has once again demonstrated its unwavering commitment to education and literacy through its highly successful “One Child, One Book, One Pen” project 2.0.

Reaching Over 200 Students

On Thursday, September 26, 2024, JCIN FEDPOFFA’s dedicated team visited ECWA LGEA Primary School and Answar-Ul-Islam School, impacting over 200 students with a comprehensive literacy program designed to foster a love for reading and learning.

Interactive Training Sessions

The program featured interactive training sessions on “Promoting Multilingual Education: Literacy for Mutual Understanding and Peace,” expertly facilitated by Mrs. Atinukemi Abbas . These sessions aimed to:

– Enhance language skills
– Promote cultural understanding
– Foster peace and tolerance

Book Distribution and Literacy Activities

In addition to the training sessions, JCIN FEDPOFFA distributed 200 books and pens to eager students, providing them with essential tools for learning. Engaging literacy activities, including quizzes and reading competitions, further encouraged students to develop a love for reading.

Bridging the Literacy Gap

JCIN FEDPOFFA’s mission is to bridge the literacy gap and create a culture of reading among children. This project is a crucial step towards achieving that goal, ensuring that young minds are empowered with knowledge and skills necessary for future success.
