As part of their practical training in broadcasting, journalism students of the Mass Communication Department, Lens Polytechnic Offa, embarked on a media visitation to TNT Radio Station, 102.5 FM Ijagbo ,Kwara State.
The visit, which took place on 26 January 2025 , was aimed at exposing the students to the practical aspects of radio broadcasting and providing them with hands-on experience in a real-world setting.
During the visit, the students were taken on a tour of the radio station’s facilities, including the studio, control room, and newsroom. They were also given the opportunity to interact with the station’s staff, including the presenters, producers, and engineers.
The students were particularly excited to learn about the station’s programming, production, and transmission processes. They also gained valuable insights into the challenges and opportunities facing radio broadcasters in Nigeria.
Speaking during the visit, the Head of Department, Mass Communication, Lens Polytechnic Offa, Mr ADEDIMEJI LUKMAN ADEBAYO , expressed his gratitude to the management of TNT Radio Station for hosting the students. He noted that the visit was a valuable learning experience for the students and would help to prepare them for careers in broadcasting.
The students also expressed their appreciation for the opportunity to visit the radio station. “This visit has been an eye-opener for me,” said Journalism class rep . “I’ve learned so much about radio broadcasting and I’m excited to apply my knowledge in a real-world setting.”
The visit was facilitated by the Mass Communication Department, Lens Polytechnic Offa, as part of its efforts to provide students with practical training and hands-on experience in the field of broadcasting.
