Seven FEDPOFFA Students Bag FG Scholarship Award
Seven students from the Federal Polytechnic Offa have received the Federal Government Scholarship Awards through the Federal Scholarship Board (FSB) for their Higher National Diploma (HND) in the Polytechnic.
The Award letter was presented to the beneficiaries by the representative of the Federal Ministry of Education, Princess Banjo Adetutu at the office of the Director, Students Affairs at the Mini Campus on Wednesday 19th February, 2025.
The award letter which was signed by the Director, Federal Scholarship Board, Mrs. Asta Ndajiwo reads in part: “with reference to your recent application for above Award, I have the pleasure to inform you that you have been given an Award by the Federal Government of Nigeria to enable you study at the Federal Polytechnic Offa.”
The Scholarship, according to Princess Banjo covers the sum of Three Hundred Thousand Naira (300,000) per session adding that it is part of the Federal Government’s efforts to assist the Nigerian students and encourage them to take education seriously.
Responding on behalf of the Rector, the Deputy Rector Administration, Dr. Salimonu Rasheed Ishaq expressed profound appreciation to the President, His Excellency, Bola Ahamed Tinubu GCFR; the Honourable Minister of Education, Dr. Morufu Olatunji Alausa; and the Director, Federal Scholarship Board, Mrs Asta Ndajiwo for coming up with a series of programmes designed towards eradicating illiteracy in the country and availing the underprivileged more access to quality education.
While congratulating the beneficiaries, the Rector enjoined them to justify the award with excellence performance in their respective fields of study and noted that the scholarships will go a long way in helping them to actualize their academic dream and bring relief to their parents.
Also speaking, Dean, Students Affairs, Dr. Kamal Arowomole appreciated the kind gesture of the Federal Government and advised the students to always share the information with their colleagues during the registration for the scholarship to further increase the number of beneficiaries.
Responding on behalf the awardees, the Students Union President, Comrade Hammed Damilola expressed his heartfelt appreciation to the Federal Government for coming up with programmes that would make academic activities flourish in the country and equally thanked the polytechnic management for creating an enabling environment for students of the polytechnic to benefit from the scholarship.
