Reiterates Institution’s Zero Tolerance For Cultism, Indecent Dressing, Other Social Vices

 

The Proprietor and Acting Rector of Lens Polytechnic Offa, Dr. Azeez Yisa FCA has reiterated the institution’s commitment in providing world-class education, cutting-edge research opportunities, and a supportive community that will help the students to grow and thrive.

The Proprietor disclosed this during his 13th matriculation address held today Thursday 27 2025 at the institution’s permanent site.

Dr. Azeez congratulated the newly admitted students for making an excellent choice to study at Lens Polytechnic Offa, adding that the students will be exposed to new ideas, new perspectives, and new experiences that will broaden their horizons and equip them with the necessary skills and knowledge to succeed.

According to him,” Lens Polytechnic is committed to providing you with a world-class education, cutting-edge research opportunities, and a supportive community that will help you grow and thrive. As newly admitted students, you are about to embark on a journey that will challenge you, inspire you, and transform you.

“As you navigate your academic journey, I want to encourage you to be curious, to be open-minded, and to be bold, ask questions, and seek new experiences.”

While urging the students to get involved in extracurricular activities, he tasked them to join legal clubs and organizations that align with their interests and shun cultism, hooliganism, examination malpractices, cyber crime, indecent dressing which are against the institution’s rules and regulations.

In his goodwill message, the Alagure of Offa, Chief Bode Onawola congratulated the matriculating students for joining Lens Polytechnic Offa. He advised the students to be law-abiding and maintain good relationship with the members of the community.

On her part, the Federal Polytechnic Offa Deputy Rector Academics, Dr. Mrs. Mulikat Bola Aliyu on behalf of the Rector commended the management of Lens Polytechnic for tremendous growth and transformation over the years. She admonished the students to be focused, dedicated and take their academics with utmost priority.

Similarly, the Honorable Speaker, Offa Local Government, Hon. Sharafadeen on behalf of the Chairman congratulated the matriculating students and wished them success in their academic endeavour.

While advising students on security tips, the representative of the Commandant, Nigeria Navy College of Health Sciences Offa, Captain U.S Okeke advised new students to always be security conscious and always report any suspicious activities within their surroundings to the security agencies. He equally advised the students to avoid night crawling and be law-abiding citizens.
