The Muhydeen Okunlola Kayode (MOK) Foundation expresses deep sorrow and heartfelt condolences to His Royal Majesty, Oba Mufutau Muhammad Gbadamosi Okikiola Esuwoye II, Ajagungbade I, the Olofa of Offa, over the passing of his beloved mother, Alhaja Hawawu Awele Gbadamosi (Iya Ijebu), who departed this world at the age of 94.
According to a press release issued by Mr. Saheed Lawal, the Director of MOK Foundation dated April 6, 2025, “the late Alhaja Hawawu Awele Gbadamosi was a respected matriarch whose life was a reflection of humility, grace, and unshakable faith in Almighty Allah.
“Her passing marks the end of an era, but her legacy of love, kindness, and selfless service will continue to inspire generations.
“The MOK Foundation shares in the grief of the royal family, the entire Gbadamosi family—both nuclear and extended—and the good people of Offa Kingdom during this difficult time.
“We pray that Almighty Allah, in His infinite mercy, forgive her shortcomings and grant her Al-Jannatul Firdaus. May He also bestow strength and comfort upon His Royal Majesty and the entire family to bear this irreparable loss.
