Extends Appreciation to Council, Management, Unions, Polytechnic Community For Support

In the name of Allah, the Most Benevolent, the Most Merciful, I write to express my profound gratitude to Allah for the rare privilege of limitless blessings He’s been showering on me, my immediate family and the entire Community of the Federal Polytechnic Offa.

Today, April 6, 2025, is a momentous day for me personally and for our great institution as it marks my second year in office as the fifth substantive Rector of the Polytechnic – a journey that has been both humbling and inspiring.

As I reflect on the past two years, I am filled with immense gratitude for the unwavering support, dedication, and resilience of all members of the Polytechnic Community. Together, we have achieved remarkable milestones, and I am proud to lead this great citadel as we continue to strive for excellence in academics, innovation, and community impact.

This special day also coincides with the ongoing 22nd Nigeria Polytechnic Games (NIPOGA), hosted right here, for the very first time, at our enviable Polytechnic. What a jinx breaking achievement from all of us! The vibrancy and energy of this event have brought our campuses to life, showcasing not only the athletic prowess of our students but also the spirit of unity, inclusiveness, and sportsmanship that define our 33-year old Polytechnic. Hosting NIPOGA for the first time in our 33-year of our existence as an institution is a testament to our collective commitment to fostering talent and promoting national cohesion among polytechnic students across Nigeria.

Similarly, I wish to extend my heartfelt appreciation to everyone who has contributed immensely to the success of my administration thus far. To the Alh. Moshood Ojikutu-led 7th Governing Council, Management, staff and students of Federal Polytechnic Offa, your tireless efforts and belief in our shared vision have been the bedrock of our progress. To the host community, the prosperous Offa Community, your warmth and support have made our Polytechnic a beacon of pride. I would also like to extend my heartfelt thanks to the Federal Ministry of Education, under the leadership of Dr. Morufu Tunji Alausa, the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE), led by Prof.Idris Bugaje, the COFER, COHEADS and the Secretary General under the guidance of Alh. Moshood Elelu TETFund leadership, Coaches and Director of Sports in the Polytechnic sector and the Nigeria Polytechnics Games Association (NIPOGA)
Executive Council for entrusting us with the hosting rights of this prestigious event.

On the occasion of the 22nd NIPOGA, I must express my profound thanks to all the distinguished guests who graced the colourful opening ceremony yesterday, April 5, 2025, at the Polytechnic Stadium Complex, Mini Campus. Your presence added glamour and significance to the event, inspiring our athletes and reinforcing the importance of this tournament. I extend special gratitude to the Honourable Minister for Education, Dr. Tunji Alausa; the Governor of Kwara State, Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq; the Governor of Osun State, Asiwaju Sen. Nurudeen Ademola Adeleke, Distinguished Senator Lola Ashiru the Chairmen of Offa local Government and the National Sports Commission, Mr. Shehu Dikko; the Executive Secretary of NBTE, Prof. Idris Bugaje; and the Chairman of our Governing Council, Alhaji Moshood Ojikutu with other distinguished council members and Alhaji Kunle Sanni, Mr and Mrs Raphael Adeleke, and my adorable colleagues in the Polytechnic. Your support and encouragement have been invaluable.

To my royal fathers, Olofa of Ibolo kingdom, HRM Oba Mufutau Gbadamosi Esuwoye 11 and other high chiefs, the Ataoja of Osogbo HRM Oba Jimoh Abidemi Oyetunji Larooye II, the Aragbiji of Iragbiji, Oba Abdulrasheed Ayotunde Olabomi, the Oluroki of Irepodun- Osogbo, the Oluroki of Gbonmi-Osogbo and Council of Chiefs from Osogbo, Offa and Iragbiji. Asiwaju of Osogbo and Asiwaju of Idoani kingdom.
The Vice Chancellors of Unilorin, Ojaja,Osun State University Osogbo and Kwara state university, past Vice Chancellors of Federal University of Technology, Minna and Summit University Offa, in person of Prof.Akanji Musibau and Prof Oloyede, Alhaji Bukoye Azeez, a great fellow of the institution, including his friend, Alhaji Bukoye, former chairman of the Governing Council of IVTEC, Ajase Ipo, Alabis of the universe.

I mostly sincerely appreciate the moral and financial support of my dearest adopted mother, former deputy Governor of Osun state n chairperson of the Governing Council of Federal Polytechnic Kabo and that of a great ambassador of Osun state in person of Prince Dotun Babayemi who was ably represented by a powerful delegation, Alhaji Muniru Adebayo Raji, Prof Ademola Adeleke- commissioner for Budget to the osun state government and those whose names I can not pen down for now, I am extremely grateful to all of you.

To the contingents from the 53 participating polytechnics and the over 5,000 athletes and colleagues – Rectors from far and near who have brought their passion and talent to Offa, I say a big thank you to all of you.

As we mark this dual celebration — my second anniversary in office and the 22nd NIPOGA — I reaffirm my commitment to advancing the growth of Federal Polytechnic Offa. I, therefore, urge everyone to let us continue to harness the transformative power of education and sports to shape a brighter future for our students and our nation.

Once again, thank you all for your support, presence, and belief in our collective journey. May this NIPOGA, themed “Ijakadi Offa 2024,” leave a lasting legacy and indelible mark of Great development, friendship, talent discovery, and pride for us all and the Polytechnic.
