Fedpoffa Alumni Association Donates Multi Million Naira Drugs To Polytechnic Health Centre

Council Chairman, Rector Laud President, Comrade Ayuba, Say Initiative Will Improve Health Care Delivery

The Federal Polytechnic Offa Alumni Association led by Comrade Rahman Ayuba has donated drugs worth multi-millions of naira to the Polytechnic health centre in Main Campus.

The drugs donated on Tuesday 8 April 2025 were officially handed over to the Governing Council Chairman, Alh. Moshood Oluwole Ojikutu in the presence of Council Members, Management, staff members and delegates from the Federal Character at the Federal Polytechnic Offa Alumni Secretariat.

Speaking after receiving the donation, the Chairman commended the entire alumni of the polytechnic home and abroad for giving back to their alma mater.

“…your donation will no doubt further improve the healthcare delivery of this institution and will benefit both staff and students. Teaching and learning can only flourish in an institution where both staff and students are healthy. Please keep it up,” he added.

Also speaking, the Rector, Engr. Dr. Kadiri Kamoru Oluwatoyin FNSE described the FEDPOFFA Alumni as a wonderful and supportive association expressing gratitude for the lifesaving donation.

“I am delighted to inform you that the Alumni Association of this Polytechnic has been wonderful and supportive. I am equally not surprised to have received this lifesaving measure from them as donation which will further improve the healthcare delivery of our Medical Centre,” he said.

While appreciating the Director of Medical Centre, Dr. Ayokunkle Alonge for his selfless services to the Polytechnic, the Rector disclosed that the Management recently procured N30 Million worth of drug for the Medical Centre adding that the donation from Alumni would further enhance the viability of the polytechnic Medical Centre.

“In this semester alone, the Polytechnic has procured N30 Million worth of drugs for the Medical Centre. The welfare and wellbeing of our staff and students are part of our priorities in this polytechnic. We treat our students when sick not minding whether they have paid school fees or not,” he disclosed.

Earlier, the National President of the Alumni Association, Comrade Rahman Ayuba while handing over the drugs noted that the association’s gesture is to support the Polytechnic health care, he noted that the donation is part of the alumni effort to give back to the Polytechnic.

In her vote of thanks, the Deputy Registrar, Alumni and Endowment Unit, Princess Rasheedat Adeyemo appreciated the presence of the Governing Council Members, the Polytechnic Management staff in attendance and visitors from Abuja. She commended the Alumni Association for giving back to their alma mater and assured the Governing Council and Management that the Alumni association will continue to support the polytechnic in all ramifications.
