Ogbeni Seun Ogunniyi Graces Foundation Laying Ceremony For Omo Offa Ni Mi Project

On Thursday, 10th April 2025, Offa hosted a groundbreaking ceremony marking the beginning of a community-driven initiative aimed at revolutionizing identity management in the region. The event signified the laying of the foundation for the new operational headquarters and coordinating centre of the Omo Offa Ni Mi Identity Management Solution, a project in collaboration with the Offa Local Government Council.

The initiative, conceived by Dr. Engr. Kola Balogun, Chairman of Momas Group of Companies, is designed to integrate digital technology and innovation to enhance community service delivery. The key goal is to establish an Offa Identification Number, which will be linked with the National Identification Number (NIN) from the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC). This system is expected to improve the planning and development of the community by using accurate demographic data, which will also enhance social and welfare services for residents.

The project has garnered support from all relevant stakeholders and community leaders, ensuring a solid foundation for its success. The groundbreaking ceremony was attended by notable figures, including Ogbeni Seun Ogunniyi, who played a significant role in reviewing and appraising the initiative as part of the team responsible for its conceptualization. Ogunniyi, a member of the State Assembly and a well-regarded community stakeholder, expressed his pride in being associated with the project.

In his address, Ogunniyi urged Offa indigenes, both at home and abroad, as well as all residents, to support this groundbreaking initiative, highlighting its potential to benefit the community significantly.

The Omo Offa Ni Mi Identity Management Solution is poised to pave the way for improved public service delivery and development at the community level, making Offa a model for others to emulate.
