The grand finale of 22nd NIPOGA edition tagged Ijakadi 2024 was held on Saturday 12, 2025 at the Polytechnic mini campus.

A week-long sports fiesta ended remarkably with astonished final matches between the Federal Polytechnic Offa and Federal Polytechnic Nekede for male category and Federal Polytechnic Offa team played against Yaba College of Technology in female football.

The keenly contested matches favoured the Federal Polytechnic Offa with 1-0 straight winning against Federal Polytechnic Nekede to emerge winner while the Federal Polytechnic Offa female team lost to Yabatech in penalty shootout. Auchi Polytechnic won the third place against Federal Polytechnic Bauchi for male category while Sapade Polytechnic bagged third position in female football.

Speaking at the closing ceremony, the Rector Engr. Dr. Kadiri Kamoru Oluwatoyin appreciated the organising committee, the NIPOGA council, volunteers, medical teams, security personnel for making the NIPOGA event a success.

While congratulating the winners, he commended athletes and coaches from various participating institutions.

“To the athletes and coaches from various participating institutions, I say well-done. Whether you are going home with medals or not, you are all champions,” he stated.

The Rector equally appreciated the royal fathers, Olofa of Offa, Oba Muhammad Mufutau Gbadamosi Okikiola Ajagungbade l Esuwoye ll, the Ataoja of Osogbo, His Royal Majesty, Oba Jimoh Olanipekun Oyetunji, Laroye II, Governing Council of the Polytechnic led by Alhaji Moshood Ojikitu, Speaker, Osun State House of Assembly, Hon. Wale Egbedun, Rectors from other Polytechnics for adding colour to the event.

Also speaking, the Chairman Local Organising Committee, Dr. Salmon Ishiaq Rasheed in his vote of thanks appreciated the Council of Heads of Polytechnics and Colleges of Technology for granting the Polytechnic the hosting right, he commended the management, staff and students for a successful NIPOGA fiesta.
