The Honourable Member representing Ojomu Balogun Constituency at the Kwara State House of Assembly, Ogbeni Seun Ogunniyi, has condemned the recent kidnapping of passengers travelling from Abuja to Offa aboard the Olumoh Express Transport Company.

The incident, which occurred over the weekend, has sparked widespread concern and outrage. In a statement released by his media team, Ogbeni Ogunniyi described the act as “barbaric” and “devoid of any regard for human life,” expressing his deep sadness over the traumatic experience faced by the victims and their families.

He joined the growing call for immediate and decisive action, urging relevant security agencies to intensify efforts to ensure the safe release of the abducted passengers and to bring the perpetrators to justice without delay.

Ogbeni Ogunniyi also commended the Kwara State Government for its prompt support to security agencies and the directive to leave no stone unturned in pursuing the criminals and rescuing the victims.

“Our thoughts and prayers are with the families of the abducted,” he stated. “We hope for their safe return and remain committed to working with all stakeholders to make our communities safe for all.”

The statement concluded with a firm demand for stronger security measures on Nigeria’s highways to prevent further acts of terror against innocent citizens.
