MOK Foundation Extends Agricultural Intervention To Omupo, Donates Chemicals, Tools to Farmers
In its continuous and significant move aimed at supporting grassroots agriculture and boosting food production, the Muhydeen Okunlola Kayode (MOK) Foundation has donated essential agrochemicals and farm tools to farmers in Omupo, Ifelodun Local Government Area of Kwara State.
The donation, which took place earlier today (Friday), brought together local farmers, community leaders, and representatives of the Foundation, led by Alhaji Tunde Salaudeen.
Speaking during the event, Alhaji Tunde Salahudeen noted that the gesture was part of the Foundation’s commitment to rural empowerment and sustainable agricultural development.
“We recognize the critical role farmers play in ensuring food security, especially in rural communities like Omupo. This intervention is designed to ease their burden and improve productivity,” he said.
Items distributed included herbicides, insecticides, protective gear, hoes, cutlasses, sprayers, and other farming essentials.
The farmers were visibly excited as they received the materials, which they said would go a long way in reducing costs and improving yields ahead of the planting season.
The MOK Foundation, founded by philanthropist Muhydeen Okunlola Kayode, has been actively involved in human capital development initiatives across Kwara State, particularly in the areas of education, health, and agriculture.
