Bandits Attack Marri Village in Patigi, Kill One, Injure Another; Army Recovers Stolen Motorcycles

Bandits launched a fresh attack on Marri Village in Patigi Local Government Area of Kwara State on Sunday night, killing one person and leaving another injured.

The incident, which occurred during heavy rainfall between 9:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m., saw the assailants raid the community and cart away several motorcycles.

According to residents, the swift response of the Nigerian Army to a distress call thwarted the criminals’ escape. The soldiers intercepted the bandits and successfully recovered all the stolen motorcycles.

The recovery operation has brought some relief to the community, though concerns remain over the rising wave of insecurity across Kwara North.

Community members have commended the Nigerian Army for their timely intervention and effective response to the attack.
