MOK Foundation Announces 2026 WAEC Scholarship in Kwara

The Muyideen Okunlola Kayode (MOK) Foundation has announced the commencement of its 2026 WAEC Scholarship Programme.

This extends its ongoing commitment to supporting indigent students and promoting academic excellence across Kwara State.

With this year’s theme, “Continuing the Journey, Lighting the Path to Brighter Futures,” the foundation says the new cycle of scholarships reflects its sustained investment in education and its determination to expand opportunities for young people.

In a statement posted on Monday on its social media platforms, the foundation described education as “a proven tool for reshaping destinies and opening doors of opportunity.”

It added that the annual scholarship programme has become a lifeline for many students who would otherwise struggle to afford the cost of the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE).

Over the past years, the MOK Foundation has funded exam fees for hundreds of students across Offa, Oyun, and other parts of Kwara State.

According to the organisation, these interventions have not only eased financial pressure on parents but have also contributed to improved academic performance among beneficiaries.

It further disclosed that, “we have seen students excel, families breathe easier, and communities strengthened through the success of their children. These outcomes reflect the heart of our mission and motivate us to expand our reach.”

The foundation added that the impact of its previous educational programmes — including WAEC scholarships, JAMB support, and tertiary education assistance — has encouraged it to deepen its footprint in grassroots educational development.

As the 2026 edition begins, the organisation reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring that no deserving child is denied access to quality education due to financial constraints.
