Offa-Born Dr. Mrs. Tawakalitu Bammeke Ijaodola Bags Fellow of the African Institute of Public Health Professionals Award
The Offa Born Public Health specialist, Dr. Mrs. Tawakalitu Kikelomo Ijaodola, has been awarded as the fellow of the African Institute of Public Health Professionals.
Dr. Tawakalitu was awarded based on her selfless contribution to health care development and safety of mankind at annual induction ceremony of community medicine and public health department, Al-Hikmah University, Ilorin Nigeria.
Dr. Tawakalitu, the wife of the late Professor Rasheed Ijaodola holds a PhD in Health Education, Public Health Option, M.Ed in Health Education, a PGD in Education, B.Sc. in Biochemistry, and a B.Sc. (Ed) in Biology.
She has built a strong academic and professional career across teaching, research, and public health practice. Dr. Tawakalitu has equally lectured across departments including Public Health, Health Education, Community Health Science, and Nutrition with extensive publication in health-related journals.
She currently serves as the Director, Directorate of Continuing Education and Affiliate Programmes at the Kwara State College of Health Technology, Offa, where she provides strategic leadership and oversee programme development.
