Ogbeni Seun Ogunniyi congratulates Muslims, Christians on Ramadan and Lent Fasting Seasons
The Honourable Member representing Ojomu Balogun Constituency at the Kwara State House of Assembly, Ogbeni Seun Ogunniyi extends warm greetings and felicitations to the Muslim and Christian faithfuls in Ojomu Balogun Constituency and Offa Local Government of Kwara State on the commencement of 2026 Ramadan and Lent fasting seasons.
The coincidence in the commencement of the two fasting seasons on the same day is a reflection of the bond of unity between the two faiths and their shared spiritual and ancestral heritage. Ogbeni Ogunniyi urged all individuals across both religious lines to maintain the ideals and principles of tolerance, service, selflessness, generosity, kindness, fairness, and love in all their human dealings and interactions.
Fasting is a period of self reflection, self appraisal and a time to rededicate oneself to God — the Supreme Judge and to doing good to others. Ogbeni Ogunniyi prays that God accept the worship and service of all faithfuls during this period of consecration and holiness towards making our communities, state, and nation a better place for all.
