Kwara Gov., Senator Ashiru, AGF, Royal Fathers Grace Onijagbo 1st Coronation Anniversary
The Ijagbo Community in Oyun Local Government Area of Kwara State welcomes dignitaries as Onijagbo of Ijagbo, Oba Sharafadeen Adeniyi Buhari Babalola celebrates his first coronation anniversary on Saturday 27 July 2024.
The event which took place at Obelawo event centre in the community featured dignitaries, top government officials and traditional rulers in Kwara South, all turned out en masse to celebrate with the Onijagbo of Ijagbo land.
In his goodwill message, the Kwara State Governor, Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrasaq congratulates Onijagbo on his first anniversary. He describes him as a God-chosen king for the people of Ijagbo who takes the progress of the community as his priority by reaching out to the government on developmental projects.
The Governor charges the Ijagbo community to continue to support the monarch with prayer and pledges to always cater for the needs of the community and Kwara State at large.
Speaking on the current situation of the country, the Governor urges Nigerians to be more patient with the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, adding that it is too early to adjudge the administration within a year and a few months.
The Governor tasks the citizens to shun riots in the name of protest and assures Nigerians of positive changes from the government.
Also speaking, the Attorney General of the Federation and Honourable Minister of Justice, Prince Lateef Fagbemi SAN appeals to all Nigerians to be patient with the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. While excluding the Ijagbo community from any protest or demonstration against the government, he said the government is doing everything within its strength to tackle unemployment, insecurity, economic crisis and food inflation.
The Attorney General, therefore, appreciates the Governor, Kwara South Senator, traditional rulers led by Olofa of Offa and other invited dignitaries for their presence. Prince Fagbemi congratulates Onijagbo of Ijagbo and the people of the Ijagbo community on the coronation anniversary and prays for the king to witness more anniversaries in good health.
In their respective goodwill messages, the Ijagbo sons and daughters felicitated with the royal father on his first coronation anniversary.
In his goodwill note, High Chief Olora of Ijagbo, Chief Mudasir Ajiboye on behalf of the High Chiefs and traditional Chiefs congratulates Kabiesi Onijagbo, he describes him as a highly resourceful leader who has demonstrated a high level of commitment to the development of Ijagbo land as a whole.
The IDU National President, Chief Agboola Oyawoye on behalf of the executive committee and Ijagbo sons and daughters appreciates the monumental achievements of Kabiesi since he ascended the throne. He added that the monarch has laid a solid foundation for a greater tomorrow.
According to him,” Kabiesi is the driving force behind several ongoing projects in the community. He leads and motivates by his personal commitment and financial contributions to those projects.”
Kabiesi in his response thanks Almighty God and appreciates the presence of the Kwara State Governor, Kwara South Senator, the Attorney General of the Federation, Honourable Commissioners, royal fathers and the entire people of the Ijagbo community for honouring the invitation with their presence.
Kabiesi commends the effort of the Kwara State Government in the Ijagbo community and Kwara State at large and urges the government to attend to other demands which form the plight of the Ijagbo community as a whole.
Onijagbo tasks the commuters to exercise patience with the Government and continue to support them with prayers for successful leadership.
