MOK Movement Commences Distribution Of Cassava Flakes, Maize to Vulnerable Groups in Offa

In a significant step towards combating food scarcity, the Muhydeen Okunlola Kayode (MOK) Movement began distributing cassava flakes and maize to the aged and vulnerable on Thursday at Film House, Offa.

The distribution marks the partial first phase of farm produce from the Movement’s expansive 50-hectare farm, aimed at addressing food insecurity and promoting sustainable agriculture in Offa Local Government Area (LGA).

Led by Alhaji Tajudeen Oyeyemi, the Movement is poised to continue the distribution on Sunday, ensuring wider access to these essential food items for vulnerable households.

Alhaji Oyeyemi noted that this effort forms part of a larger vision to support the local community in the face of rising food prices and agricultural challenges.

As a further development, the MOK Foundation has announced the first official phase of its maize distribution program, set to commence on Friday, September 20, 2024, at 10:00 AM.

The event will be held at the Foundation’s office located at 157 Ibrahim Taiwo Road, Offa, opposite the IBEDC office.

The programme, which targets households across Offa and Oyun LGAs, will continue over the coming weeks, with eligible recipients invited to collect their maize supplies from designated distribution centers. The initiative forms part of the MOK Foundation’s broader mission to enhance food security and promote agricultural sustainability within the community.

By investing in local agriculture and supporting vulnerable groups, the Foundation aims to contribute to the economic empowerment of Offa’s residents and ensure access to vital food resources.
