Engr. Abdulfatai Yusuf Officially Inaugurated As Pioneer Chairman, NSE Offa Branch

The Nigerian Society of Engineers Offa Branch has inaugurated Engr. Abdulfatai Yusuf as its pioneer Chairman on Saturday 31 May 2025.

The inauguration ceremony took place at the Stella Obasanjo Hall, Federal Polytechnic Offa and attended by royal fathers, league of Engineers among other dignitaries.

While administering the oath of office, the National President of NSE, Engr. Margaret Aina represented by the Vice President, North Central Engr. Rachel Serumun Ugye congratulated the newly inaugurated chairman and the entire executive members. She noted that the council approved the establishment of NSE Offa Branch in accordance with the laid down memorandum and articles of the association. She therefore commended the pioneer executive committee of the Offa branch for their hard work, commitment, and belief in the vision of the society which have brought the dream to fruition.

“As you take off, your branch will play a critical role in building professional cohesion between Engineers in Offa with our colleagues worldwide.” She added.

Earlier in his opening address, the Chairman NSE Ilorin Branch, Engr. Dr. O.A Ogunjirin noted that the establishment of Offa Branch of NSE is not just a geographical expansion but a testament to the growing strength, relevance, and unity of the engineering society.

He therefore congratulated the newly inaugurated executives and encouraged them to build on the foundation with vision, integrity and a strong drive for professional excellence.

In his inaugural speech as the Pioneer Chairman, Engr. Abdulfatai Kolawole Yusuf appreciated the National Executive Council of NSE for approving the establishment of the branch and for their steadfast support. He equally commended the leadership of Ilorin branch and other relevant stakeholders for their guidance.

“As Engineers, we carry the sacred duty of building societies brick by brick, idea by idea. In Offa, we are blessed with the talent, resources and a strong tradition of excellence.” He stated.

Speaking further, Engr. Abdulfatai noted that the creation of the branch gives a platform to channel the strengths into focused transformative action.

He therefore admonished fellow engineers, senior colleagues, industry leaders to rally behind the branch.

“Let us build a legacy that will outlive us. Let us make Offa a model of what an NSE branch should represent professionalism, unity, and impact,” he added.
