Fedpoffa to host inauguration of National Technology Incubation Centre
*The Federal Polytechnic Offa, in collaboration with the National Board for Technology Incubation (NBTI) under the Federal Ministry of Science, Technology, and Innovation, is set to inaugurate the Institutional-Based Technology Incubation Centre (TIC) at the Polytechnic on Thursday, 28th August 2025.*
*The inauguration, to be performed by the Director-General/Chief Executive Officer of NBTI, marks a significant milestone in the drive to promote innovation, research commercialization, entrepreneurship, and youth empowerment within the Institution and Offa community.*
*The establishment of the Centre will provide enormous benefits to staff, students, and the host community which includes:*
1. *Transforming research outputs and student projects into viable businesses.*
2. *Offering training, mentorship, and incubation for startups and entrepreneurs.*
3. *Creating job and wealth opportunities for youths and community members.*
4. *Strengthening collaboration between academia, industry, and government.*
*Dignitaries expected at the event includes representatives of NBTI, NAFDAC, SON, the Kwara State Ministry of Business, Innovation and Technology, Royal Fathers, Chambers of Commerce, industrialists, entrepreneurs, and members of the Polytechnic community.*
*According to the Chief host of the programme, the Rector, Engr Dr Kamoru Kadiri, the TIC will serve as a hub for innovation and enterprise development, positioning The Federal Polytechnic Offa as a center of excellence for technology-driven growth.*
*The programme will commence by 9:30 am. at the IBTC of the Polytechnic, and will feature, display, technical presentations and launch of the programme, and a tour of the new facilities.
The Rector warmly invites staff, the general public, particularly entrepreneurs, students, researchers, and business leaders, to be part of this historic event.
