MOK Foundation Expends Over 50 Million Naira On Humanitarian Services in 2025
The Executive Director of the Foundation for Community Development, MOK Foundation, Mr. Saheed Temitope Lawal, made a significant announcement today during a press conference held at the foundation’s office. He revealed that, over the past ten months, the foundation has successfully empowered citizens by distributing over 50 million naira in cash and essential tools aimed at enhancing their livelihoods.
Speaking with passion and conviction, Saheed articulated that the MOK Foundation has established itself as a vital source of hope for the common man, through a series of impactful initiatives designed to alleviate poverty. These include various cash empowerment schemes, targeted support for traders, and spontaneous financial assistance through the foundation’s dedicated founder, Alhaji Muhydeen Okunlola Kayode. “Our foundation has become a household name in Kwara and Nigeria today, credited to the relentless commitment of our founder and his visionary approach to uplifting those in need. The achievements we’ve made over the last ten months not only serve as a local success but are also envisioned as a model for poverty alleviation on a national scale,” Saheed emphasized. He further assured the citizens and members of the foundation that the foundation weekly cash empowerment initiatives will continue uninterrupted, with robust financial support accessible through the foundation’s offices and various outreach programs. “We are dedicated to developing a resilient model that will stand the test of time and effectively uplift our communities,” he stated.
Elaborating on the foundation’s multifaceted interventions, Saheed discussed the monthly health initiatives that the MOK Foundation has launched in collaboration with local healthcare partners since 2023. He highlighted that they have generously covered hospital bills for over 1000 patients this year alone, ensuring that those in dire medical need receive the treatment they deserve. Additionally, the foundation has extended its support beyond its partner hospitals, assisting over 200 individuals facing unexpected health crises with their medical expenses. Saheed also noted that their annual food distribution program has consistently reached thousands of families since the foundation’s inception, providing essential nourishment to those struggling with food insecurity. The foundation also engages in various other interventions, touching on areas such as educational support and community development.
Moreover, the MOK Foundation is deeply committed to educational advancement, preparing to sponsor candidates for the WAEC and JAMB exams scheduled for 2026.
