FEDPOFFA Rector Bags Corporate Fellow Honour of Nigerian Association of Technologists in Engineering

“Your honour is due to your persistent promotion of technology in Nigeria,” -NATE President tells Rector

The Rector of The Federal Polytechnic Offa, Engr. Dr. Kadiri Kamoru Oluwatoyin, FNSE, has been conferred with the prestigious Corporate Fellow (Presidential) Honour of the Nigerian Association of Technologists in Engineering (NATE).

The honour was bestowed on him at the Conference of Technologists in Engineering held on Thursday, 13th November 2025, in Lagos.

While decorating the Rector, the National President of NATE, Rt. Hon. Dominic Udoatan, expressed profound appreciation for the Rector’s presence, noting that the recognition was a testament to his unwavering commitment, resilience, and sustained efforts toward advancing technology and engineering development in Nigeria.

“See yourself as a personality whose contributions to engineering development are duly recognised,” he remarked.

In his acceptance speech, the Rector commended the leadership of NATE for the recognition. He reaffirmed his commitment to the advancement of engineering technology in Nigeria and praised the association for its consistency in promoting professionalism, compliance, and excellence among technologists, as well as its advocacy for improved dignity and remuneration for practitioners in the field.

Engr. Dr. Kadiri described the Corporate Fellowship as a call to greater responsibility,to intensify efforts in promoting indigenous technology, mentoring young innovators, and strengthening the future of engineering technologists nationwide.

“I fully align myself with these objectives and pledge to uphold the rules, ethics, and responsibilities associated with this Fellowship,” he stated.

The Rector further highlighted the strides of The Federal Polytechnic Offa in establishing itself as a national hub for technological innovation, engineering creativity, and applied research. He emphasized that the institution has repositioned its programmes to meet contemporary industrial needs, particularly through the establishment of the Incubation Technology Centre (ITC), designed to nurture ideas from concept to commercialisation.

“The Centre provides a platform for students, researchers, and local entrepreneurs to design, fabricate, and test indigenous technologies capable of solving real-life problems,” he added.

Present at the event were key principal officers of the Polytechnic, including the Deputy Rector (Administration), Dr. Salimon Isiaq Rasheed; Deputy Rector (Academics), Dr. Peter Egbele; Bursar, Alhaji Yusuf and the Deputy Registrar (Rectory), Mr. J. A. Balogun, among others.
