Yoruba Wikipedia Fans Club Offa has completed moves to launch Offa heritage documentation initiative ( Yoruba Edition ) on Saturday June 13 2026 at Hengee Resort Offa.

The invitation notice reads:

Event Details

Date: Saturday, 13 June 2026
Time: 10:00 AM Prompt
Venue: Hengee Resort Hotel, Offa, Kwara State

The Digital Heritage Documentation Initiative seeks to bridge the gap between our rich cultural heritage and the digital world by ensuring that the stories, achievements, traditions, historical events, landmarks, and distinguished personalities of Offa are accurately documented and made accessible to a global audience.

A major highlight of the event will be the unveiling of specially designed QR Code-Embedded Heritage Frames, linking visitors directly to verified digital information about significant Offa personalities, historical sites, cultural events, institutions, and community landmarks. This innovative approach will enhance accessibility to local knowledge and increase the global reach of Offa’s cultural and historical assets.

The launch will also provide an opportunity to present the project’s vision, objectives, expected impact, and avenues for community participation in preserving and promoting our collective heritage for future generations.

Your presence at this event will be highly valued and appreciated. As a stakeholder in community development and cultural preservation, your support and participation will contribute significantly to the success of this initiative and strengthen our collective efforts to safeguard Offa’s history, identity, and legacy in the digital age.

We sincerely look forward to welcoming you as we take this important step toward ensuring that the stories and heritage of Offa are preserved, celebrated, and shared with the world.

Thank you for your continued support and commitment to community development.

Yours faithfully,”

Prince Salako Lukman Olamilekan
