FEFPOFFA TO RESUME ACADEMIC ACTIVITIES ON 10TH APRIL, 2026

The Federal Polytechnic Offa, Kwara State, has announced Friday, 10th April, 2026, as the official resumption date from the ongoing mid-semester break.

The decision was reached by the institution’s Academic Board at its statutory meeting and subsequently reaffirmed by Management following consultations with Principal Officers and representatives of the Students’ Union Executive.

It was gathered that the Students’ Union had appealed to Management to ensure adequate preparedness for students’ return and the smooth continuation of academic activities. After careful consideration of the appeal, Management resolved to uphold the resumption date earlier approved by the Academic Board in the overall interest of academic stability and adherence to the institutional calendar.

Speaking on the development, the Rector of the Polytechnic, Engr. Dr. Kamoru Oluwatoyin Kadiri, reaffirmed the institution’s commitment to academic excellence and stability.

“The Polytechnic remains committed to maintaining a stable and predictable academic calendar. The decision to resume on 10th April is in the best interest of our students and the institution at large. We have put necessary measures in place to ensure a smooth continuation of academic activities,” he stated.

Also speaking, the President of the Students’ Union Comrade Majeed Azeez commended the Management for its responsiveness and expressed readiness on the part of students to return to academic work.

“On behalf of the students, we appreciate Management for engaging with us and considering our concerns. We assure the Polytechnic authorities of students’ readiness to resume and continue with the semester without further disruptions,” the Union leader said.

With this development, students of the Polytechnic are expected to return to campus on the stated date, while lectures and other academic engagements are to commence immediately.

The Management of the Polytechnic reiterated its commitment to providing a conducive environment for teaching and learning, while urging all students to comply fully with the resumption directive.
