Lenspoly Offa, IVTEC Ajase-Ipo set for collaboration As Rector, Dr. Mrs. Aliyu Leads Polytechnic’s Delegates On Visitation
The Rector of Lens Polytechnic Offa, Dr. Mrs. Mulikat Bolajoko Aliyu has led a visitation team from the polytechnic to International Vocational, Technical and Entrepreneurship College (IVTEC), Ajase-Ipo in Kwara State to strengthen vocational and technical education.
The Rector was accompanied by the Dean, School of Science and Engineering, Mr. Christian Egbekoba, and the Dean, School of Applied Science, Mr. Saheed Ajibade.
The visitation held recently was aimed at exploring areas of collaboration between the two institutions and creating a shared platform for impactful academic and practical outcomes.
In her remark, Dr. Mrs. Aliyu noted that one of the central goals of the visitation was to equip students with hands-on skills, ignite innovation and creativity, and help drive the production of solutions that address real human needs—while meeting both local and global standards.
According to her, “Lens Polytechnic Offa has built a strong reputation as a practically driven institution, and IVTEC shares the same commitment to training and students’ development.”
She therefore reiterated that the combination of the two strengths promises “nothing short of groundbreaking results,” particularly for students’ success and improved learning outcomes.
While commending the management of IVTEC for the reception, Dr. Mrs. Aliyu expressed optimism that the collaboration will significantly transform students’ outcomes and further redefine practical education.
The highlights of the visitation featured a facility tour led by the Rector of IVTEC, Engr. Yaru S. Salihu. The tour offered more profound insight into IVTEC’s training methods and how students are developed through practical learning systems.
